January 2025 Update: Progress Bar for the Billing Screen, Ticketing Updates, and more!

Update Notes
  • The Web Portal will update automatically.
  • On the browser-based Scale Ticketing Application, you will need UI Version 5.0.16 or higher and Server Version 5.0.29 or higher to use the new features. If your application does not apply these updates automatically, you can update it manually from the Server Settings screen.

Over the weekend, we rolled out a new Fast-Weigh Software update featuring several improvements and enhancements.

In this update:

  • Added a progress bar for the Billing screen to improve visual feedback during processing.
  • Improved overall Billing functionality to speed up the billing process and prevent timeouts.
  • Bulk repricing of tickets now available for both Billing and Hauler Pay.
  • New Ticketing App updates, including additional lane and kiosk functionality.
  • Resolved several issues across both the Web Portal and Desktop Ticketing Application.

 


Web Portal Updates


Additions:
  • Enhanced the Repricing system for better handling of tax recalculations.
  • Optimized Billing with the ability to reprice tickets in bulk.
  • Reworked billing assignment to speed up the process and prevent timeouts.
  • Added visual feedback with a progress bar which applies to both Batch Assignment and Repricing.
New progress bar applies to both Batch Assignment and Repricing.
  • Added Bulk Repricing functionality to Hauler Pay.
  • Included a totals footer in the Hauler Pay history ticket grid.
Resolutions:
  • Fixed issue with duplicate trucks on active Requests.
  • Resolved an issue where tax could be recalculated on invoiced tickets during hauler pay repricing.
  • Fixed salesperson assignment issue where inactive salespeople no longer appeared in existing orders/quotes.
  • Resolved expired password logins being redirected to a non-existent page. (Old: /Account/ChangePassword, New: /Password/Change)

Desktop Ticketing Application Updates


Lane Updates
  • New Feature: Added a feature flag to allow printing an incomplete pending ticket from the right sidebar.
    NOTE:
    - The use of the "Print to PDF" printer or any printer that requires downloading the print file is not supported with this feature.
    - Please contact
    Fast-Weigh Support to enable and use this feature. We will need to configure your ticket formats to allow partially created tickets.
  • Enabled "Repeat Last," "Tare," and "Assign" buttons for pending tickets.
  • Fixed lane overrides not applying consistently.
  • Resolved trucks with a saved tare of 0 being considered valid if the hauler doesn’t have "Days Tare Valid" set:
    • Inbound tickets for these trucks now require a new tare weight (two-step process).
  • Fixed manual weight being incorrectly set when using the lane "Check-In" button without capturing weights.
  • Adjusted auto-focus behavior:
    • Manual weight input focus occurs only at kiosks, not when logged in as a normal user.
Kiosk Updates
  • Corrected the "Entered Date Time" when updating or finalizing pending tickets.
  • Added a "Reset" button to error message for instances where the kiosk is in a blank state.
User Roles
  • Updated "Data Entry" role to include new permissions (e.g. payment processing).
