Update Details: Pricing Templates

NEW Pricing Templates (Web Portal)

Product Pricing is now governed by our new Pricing Templates. This feature allows for more pricing customization and flexibility. It will drastically improve efficiency and performance by simplifying order setup and eliminating the need to add long lists of unnecessary products to open orders. Pricing Templates will also replace the five Pricing Levels.
NOTE: For now, we've already created five Pricing Templates for you, labeled 1-5, but after all stages of this update are complete, we will eventually begin allowing users to create an unlimited number of their own new Pricing Templates.

  • The new Product Pricing tab now functions as a query. It can be sorted and grouped like all other query tables.
  • From the Product Pricing query, Proposed Pricing can be established and applied in bulk by clicking the new Apply Proposed Pricing button at the top-right corner of the table.
  • Clicking the More button allows the user to set up default surcharges and adjustments for a given product.
  • The new Product Setup tab resembles the old screen. This is where Products can be created and assigned to Locations. In a future update, new Pricing Templates can be added on this screen. Pricing, however, is now controlled at the Product Pricing tab mentioned above.
  • Just as with the old Pricing Levels, you can assign a default Pricing Template to an individual Customer. This means that any new Orders created for the Customer will default to the Template you selected. However, that default can still be overridden at the Order level.
  • If an Order is set to a specific Pricing Template, the user will only have the ability to add Order Products that have pricing within that template. Thus, the Pricing Templates feature can now be used to narrow down the Order Product list and take any guesswork out of your order setup process.
  • Note: This update will be rolled out in stages. Once fully implemented, the Add All Products button will be phased out and removed from your Order Setup screen.
  • With this update, a Pricing Template can also be selected for Dispatch Requests and Sales Quotes as well.

Pricing Templates on the Desktop Ticketing Application
  • On the scale ticketing app, your operators will now be able to create tickets for Orders that have no Order Products on them. (Required: A Pricing Template must be selected for the order, and the order must be marked as OPEN.) On the ticketing screen, operators will select a Truck, Customer, and Order. Then they can use the new Add Product from Template button to add products to the list and make them available for ticketing.
  • On the Settings screen, a new toggle has been added providing the option to disable the Add Product from Template button.

Other Updates
  • A new option has been added to our Web Portal Settings screen, under Order/Ticket Settings: Default Tax Code By. With this setting, the user can change where the system applies and overrides a default Tax Code. Before, default Tax Codes could be set up at the Customer and optionally overridden at the Order Product. Now, a second option allows the user to select the default Tax Code at the Product, and optionally override at the Customer level.
  • Default Tax Code by Customer: New Order Products use the Product's default tax code if it is set first, then use the Customer's if no Product default is set.
For Example: Use when you primarily control tax by Customers but have some products that are always exempt.
  • Default Tax Code by Product: New Order-Products use the Customer's default tax code if it is set first, then use the Product's if no Customer default is set.
For Example: Use when you primarily control tax by the Product and Location but have some Customers that are always exempt.
  • Updated Orders page to address issues with Sort By Last Haul.
  • Applied fixes to the Inspector Role
    >> Fixed filters on Delivery Query for Inspector Role
    >> Added a filter for Voided Tickets to the Delivery Query (hidden by default) for all user roles
  • Applied an update to Monthly Scheduled Reports
  • Applied update to prevent Load Counts from resetting for overnight jobs
