Our latest update for the Fast-Weigh Web Portal will roll out this weekend. No need to trigger the Web Portal update -- it will do so automatically. The Fast-Weigh Desktop Scale Application will also begin updating via slow roll-out over the next week.

We've added the ability to create Tax Sub Codes. When creating a new Tax Code, you can add pre-defined Sub Codes together to calculate the final Tax Code. For example, after creating a Sub Code for state tax and a Sub Code for county tax, you can then create a compound Tax Code made up of these two Sub Codes. If Sub Code rates are changed, the main Tax Code comprised of the Sub Codes will recalculate automatically to reflect the change.
You can now add customer contacts to any Contact record and select options for distributing invoices, statements, and tickets via email or text.
NOTE: This will replace the old Customer Notifications system. No need to set up customer user accounts in order to set up notifications.
Similarly, Quotes can now be distributed to specific contacts via email, text, or both.
Prior to this update, the default Reply-To email for all emails sent from Fast-Weigh was DoNotReply@fast-weigh.com. Now, when creating or editing a Region, you can set the Reply-To email addresses to be used when emailing Tickets, Invoices / Statements, Quotes, and Hauler Payables. Once set, if a customer responds to one of these emails, the response will go to the email address you've specified on the Region. When emailing Quotes, the Reply-To email will default first to the Salesperson's email, and then to the one specified under Region if no Salesperson email is present.
When a Customer is marked Do Not Sell, they can no longer have active Orders. If a user attempts to set up an active Order for a 'Do No Sell' Customer, they will be notified that the order cannot be created due to Customer Status. In addition, in the upcoming release of our desktop scale app update, these Do Not Sell restrictions will prevent ticketing for any Customer marked Do Not Sell.
You can now email or print all AR Statements from the Balance Dashboard.
We've added a few fields to accommodate Workers Comp insurance and Safety Certification numbers & expiration information.
For customers with the Fast-Weigh API module, the API Info Page can be found on the Web Portal under Settings > API Info. This page houses any API keys currently in use, along with helpful documentation on using our API capabilities.
What are webhooks?
With this Web Portal update, we've enhanced our current API features to support webhooks. In a nutshell, webhooks allow apps to send automated messages to other apps when certain events happen or changes are made. Here's a detailed article on webhooks and how they work.
Regarding Fast-Weigh, webhooks currently provide the ability to generate automated notifications when the following Fast-Weigh events occur:
We've added two expanders to the Truck and Product fields. The Truck Info Expander displays Driver Name, Truck Weight, Truck Volume, License Plate, Insurance field, and Expiration Dates for both the license plate and insurance. The Product Info Expander displays whether or not the Order Product has a Freight Rate.
In the upcoming release of our desktop scale app update, the Do Not Sell restrictions explained above will also prevent ticketing for any Customer marked Do Not Sell.
