Partial database service interruption

At 7:45 PM ET our service monitoring tools alerted us of a database connection issues for some customer databases. After further investigation it was discovered our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure, was having data center issues. From 4/3 8:00 PM ET to 4/4 12:30 AM ET we monitored connection statuses with the option to fail over to secondary databases if necessary. These connection issues have been fully resolved.
